The music and lyrics here are a lot more disturbing and engrossing than the overwrought JG Ballard book that shares its title.
This song doesn’t sound right without being preceded by Today. But it’s still pretty fecking epic. Also, I Love You But I Have Chosen Darkness is one of my all-time favorite band names.
This is one of my favorite Weezer/Rivers Cuomo songs. It’s so simple, but it’s neat to hear a song where the primary instrument isn’t a guitar.

This video is a perfect match for the song. Kind of like the original official version (NOT the one on YouTube). The best description of this song was by (so god help me) Pitchfork, when they said this song is “an Epcot ride through the history of girl group pop.”

I miss oldies radio. Real oldies radio. As much as I love the music of the 80s, I can’t consider it oldies, especially when it pushes classic 60s songs like this off the radio.
Ah, thanks to Napster I found a lot of music I never would have. These guys are Swedish and I somehow remembered this song by accident. I lost these mp3s many years ago (like 10 years ago, so don’t sue). Thank god for YouTube!
