Shame that people only know one Simple Minds song. “Promised You A Miracle” is one of those lost classics that should be better known. If I ever get that Las Almejas anime made, this will go in one episode for sure. Maybe at the lesbian dance club? Hmmm…
No offense to Michael Stipe, but he should allow Mike Mills to sing more often. Texarkana is easily the best song on Out of Time and one of my all-time favorite songs.
If you haven’t noticed, I’ve been alternating between cartoon girls and real girls from month to month. I’ve kept this month mostly humanoids, but I had to include this cartoon. I’m counting this as SFW because neither girl has nipples. Which is kind of creepy, but still, it’s a great image.

This song feels like a shot of heroin. Not that I’ve ever done that kind of thing, but I’d imagine this is what a shot of really good heroin feels like.
The music and lyrics here are a lot more disturbing and engrossing than the overwrought JG Ballard book that shares its title.
