It’s funny, the line “kill the billion years of total frustration” was always rendered by me as “kill the five years” “six years” “seven years” etc, at the beginning of each Pirates season. Funny to look back now and think seven straight losing seasons was so horrible. Oh, if only it lasted that long. Of course, fans of the Cubs have been waiting for six or seven generations for another World Series victory, so maybe I shouldn’t whine too much. Especially since Pittsburgh kicks so much ass in football and the Steelers WILL WIN THE SUPER BOWL THIS YEAR!!!!! ahem…
Unlike most indie rock bands, Archers of Loaf were a bunch of jocks, so I assume they’d be amused by why I changed their lyrics ever so slightly.
