The good ones always die young, and usually poor and obscure.
Ah, a jaunty little number to start off the New Year. Funny, at one point Billy clearly says “Don’t Axe Me Why.” According to Futurama, in the year 3000, everybody says “axe” instead of “ask.” If I live to be that old I will be sad if this does not come true.
Yeah, I decided to go with girls with glasses as the theme of the month for January. Maybe girls kissing will be next month’s theme. Or girls with guns. Or…
Today I present four pics of the lovely Sister Chan. What better way to start the New Year? She reminds me that good people do exist in Ohio.
Happy New Year, kids!
Yeah, another Trail of Dead song. What can I say, they rule. I love the combo of the fast drum rolls and slow, spacey guitars.
More great doom/sludge/stoner/whatever metal from the 80s. SST was the shit. If only punk labels of today would have the balls to branch out to other kinds of music.
OK, kids, I did find one kink in the change over. It seems that the RSS feed address changed when I moved the blog. So you’ll have to update your subscriptions. Of course, the irony is that those who only use RSS to read this blog will not see this message. But such is life.
[edit — or, maybe it’s fubar? Crap]
Nevermind, times 100. Dumb setting error on my part. Yes, Virginia, there is a big difference between UTC-5 and UTF-5. UTC-5 is a valid time zone code, UTF-5 is not valid for anything, AFAIK.
I was never sure what influenced Black Flag to go in this direction, but they ended up laying the groundwork for grunge and sludge metal. Or is that doom metal? Perhaps stoner metal? Anybody? Bueller? Bueller?
