Damn it, I miss the 90s… Despite the overt Pink Flag influence, Stiffs Inc still sounds like a headfuck to me. No “punk” band today (or back in ’95) had that quality. Miss them much. And I dig the Victorian thing they had going on.

CHORUS! According to Google Maps, this certain map reference points to an empty field somewhere in Iowa. That’s what I love about Wire, they’re so random and mysterious.

I’ve listened to this song hundreds of times (literally) and it still sounds fresh to me as it did the first time. The only downside to this YouTube presentation is the bass nearly gets cut out. Nick is a great bassist, so try to hunt down an mp3 or cd or best yet, vinyl LP.

This video reminds me of Montana and the way the sky would change colors as time got closer to sundown. And the music reminds me of my dreams.
