I could be a scrooge and mention any number of 80s and 90s indie rock bands Yuck reminds me of. Or I could just shut up and enjoy the music. Think I’ll do that.

Though I will say I hate the loudness war. I see no reason to pump up the volume of an album to make it scream out of the speakers all the time. This causes the muffled sound you hear. For once it’s not YouTube’s crappy compression, that’s how it sounds on the CD. Just turn up the volume knob on your stereo if it’s not mixed loud enough. But no, the record company needs to make everything annoyingly loud.
